Welcome
Welcome to the Baillieu Library 50th anniversary website. In 2009 the Baillieu Library at the University of Melbourne celebrates 50 years, recognising the significant role the Library has played in supporting learning and teaching and its influence on the lives of students, staff, alumni and the broader community, since it opened in 1959.In celebrating this significant milestone we invite you to come and explore our website where you can share memories of the Baillieu, contribute your own stories, explore our history and view information online about upcoming exhibitions and events.
The University Library gratefully acknowledges the assistance provided by the History of the University Unit in awarding a 2009 Research Gant to the Library to enable further development of the Baillieu 50th anniversary Memory Board.
